We have a new addition to our family. No, I'm not expecting or just had a baby...hehe. We have a small doggy. It's a boy. A puppy. He has such a sweet temperment. Very, very friendly and loving. It's a huge commitment and we (or rather I) hummed and haa-ed (?) for ages. I'm now looking to train him on a few basics like not going upstairs to the bedrooms (I've sort of half-trained him there!) and sitting, staying, fetching....you know, that sort of stuff. All the basics really. Of course it's very early days as we've only had him since just before the weekend. Any tips or handy websites re training dogs which anyone reading this can offer, I would be very grateful :).

I'm back, god knows how long for. I got bored with this blogging lark and took a trip to Second Life dot com - ha ha ha, what a trip.... I met quite a lot of different people. I learned that it appears Second Life is mostly about things which I am not at all interested in, or have very little interest in generally, i..e tarty fake Barbie looks for the women and Ken-ish fakeness for the men. Also sex plays a big part, or rather it seems a lot of the men on there are just there to make arseholes of themselves, save a few decent ones. The rest? Pains. Also gambling and....oh yeah - partying. It was fun. Take it with a pinch of salt. Perhaps I just was mixing with the wrong people (not wrong as in 'wrong' wrong, if you know what I mean, just not my particular type, whatever that is) or at the wrong places? I'll go back, occasionally, or whatever, despite also a major nuisance of the programme not running smoothly and lots of bugs and glitches, i.e. being logged out, or the programme not responding with amazing regularity.
Me? Cynical? Yeah, probably.
I'm a complicated cow.

Who's going to come and join me http://secondlife.com/whatis/?? I'm Hazel Coage. I don't know how much time I'll have but it looks interesting, if VERY time consuming. Of course Hazel Coage is my Second Life name. And I'm a furry animal/bunny at the moment :S. I need to learn more! lol

Today the weather was really nice and it was a lovely relaxing day, spent mostly in the garden - with the children, hence I am now just about completely drained of any iota of energy I previously had in my possession and am, therefore, bleedin' shattered.
It's April Fool's day, and I think I spotted a spoof on the BBC website, about a chocolate statue but was too busy to read the whole thing, so basically missed the point sort of.
Yesterday we all went to my father in law's. He was having a family get together for his 81st birthday. He is really good for his age - more like a 70 year old, or even younger. It was okay, but rather suffocating I felt. You know sometimes you are pushed together with people you don't always have anything to say to and who may have been nasty to you previously...that sort of stuff. I feel sometimes you have to just grin and bear these occasions, just to be polite/civil, etc. Not that they are always unenjoyable, of course.
On Friday night we watched the latest James Bond flick "Casino Royale". I felt it was so unlike the previous James Bond films - and not really the sort of Bond film that perhaps Ian Fleming would have agreed to/with...hard to put into words. Daniel Craig I find very sexy/attractive in a bull doggish type of way. He's ugly-handsome I think.
Dr Who has started on t.v. again, and it's keeping up the previous good standard, in my opinion. David Tennant is waspish and very angular and has bulging type eyes but I fancy him to pieces, strangely enough lol! The children just watch Dr Who because they like the show...I have another pretext ;).
I've chucked out so much underwear. For a long, long time I've been wearing the wrong size and now I'm wearing the right size it just feels sooo different. I'm stupid. You know it's like buying a size 4 shoe and wearing it but then properly measuring your feet and seeing that you are, in actual fact, a size 5, buying a size 5 and realising how much better it feels. You wear them and don't feel them on your feet, if you know what I mean. I was sooo constricted. Unhealthy I guess actually.
I have two weeks off work now, because it's the Easter holidays. I have very little idea what I'll be doing with the children. I know a lot of stuff costs money and we are trying not to spend too much at the moment because we are saving for our holidays in October (Portugal!!! :) ). I'll maybe try and take them out to places costing zilch/very little, and visit friends/relatives. Depends on the weather really. Hopefully it will remain reasonably dry during the day. Let it piss down all night, I don't care!
We've been invited to my husband's nephew's wedding in September. Very well to do/posh (he's done very well for himself) - and the ceremony plus reception is being held at the Kensington Roof Gardens . Gawd knows if I've ever been there, (basically I don't think I have as an adult) but I've had a quick look on the web and it looks a beautiful venue. It's mainly not covered over, so I bet he and his bride-to-be are hoping it doesn't rain on their big day.
Goodnight. I'm knackered.
